Our three recommended winter hiking routes you can start directly from the Après Post:
Stubner Winter Hiking Trail – Long Loop
- Distance: approx. 2.4 km
- Duration: approx. 45 minutes
- Elevation gain/loss: approx. 44 m up and down
- Difficulty: Easy – ideal for leisurely walks.
- Description: The trail starts right next to the Stubner underground car park and the ski pass ticket office and follows a loop down the valley back to Stuben. The route is well signposted (usually with pink signs).
- Recommendation: Perfect as a morning walk before skiing or as a relaxing evening stroll.
Stubner Winter Hiking Trail – Short Loop
- Alternative to the long loop: If you have a bit less time or simply want a short break, you can take a shorter version of the Stubner trail.
- Difficulty & route: Also easy, comfortable to walk, and very well signposted.
- Ideal for a “little digestion walk”, e.g. after lunch or before dinner.
Stubner Circular Trail
- Distance & duration: This loop is a bit longer (compared to the short winter route) and takes around 2 hours.
- Difficulty: Easy to moderate, suitable for guests who have more time and want to explore the area in more depth.
- Scenery & experience: The circular trail leads through forest sections and open areas, with lovely views of Stuben and the surrounding mountains – ideal for nature lovers.
- Tip: Why not try this route with snowshoes, available to hire from the sports shop in our hotel.
