Stuben offers countless trails through breathtaking scenery — with something for every kind of hiker. Here are a few highlights you won’t want to miss.
Stuben Circular Trail
A short, crisp loop to get you warmed up — also ideal for leisurely walkers and suitable even in bad weather.
Stuben High-Level Circular Trail
A shorter, but slightly more challenging option is our panoramic hike above the Flexenstraße, known as the “Gofri”. It rewards you with wonderful views over Stuben all the way to the Zimba, as well as the Albona and the Klostertal valley. Discover the history of the little mountain village of Stuben and the Arlberg on this cultural-historical trail.
Stuben – Nenzigast Alpine Pasture
Another highlight is the hike to the Nenzigast Alp. This mountain hut is idyllically set among the peaks and offers an authentic alpine atmosphere. Here you can sample homemade products such as cheese and butter, produced right on the alp. The peaceful surroundings and the hosts’ warm hospitality make this a truly special experience.
Kaltenberg Hut
A slightly longer, but rewarding hike takes you to the Kaltenberg Hut. It’s the perfect place for a break and a taste of traditional Austrian cuisine.
From the Kaltenberg Hut, you’ll enjoy a unique view into the Klostertal valley — and even as far as the Flexen Pass towards Zürs.
If you’d like to extend the tour, continue from the hut via the Berggeistweg to St. Christoph and return to Stuben along the Jakobsweg.
Ulmer Hut
A hike to the Ulmer Hut is a must for every visitor. This traditional hut sits at 2,288 metres and offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains. It’s the perfect spot to pause and enjoy regional specialities. The hearty hut fare is especially delicious after a long hike.
